About

“I design for results, but I still need to love what I’ve created. In other words, aesthetics and performance must reconcile.”

Ted McCoig

Advertising, Branding and Marketing have been a part of my career for more than twenty years. I have led teams of writers, art directors and interactive programmers but today, the title I identify with most is designer at McCoig Creative, LLC.

I have the pleasure of working with Sunnyside Restaurant Group’s Good Stuff Eatery, We, The Pizza, and Santa Rosa Taqueria restaurants. Together with Chef Spike and the Mendelsohn family, we have been featured across the United States in various culinary events to include New York Food & Wine Festival, White House Easter Egg Roll and State Department Chef Diplomatic Core. We’ve been featured on national television; Iron Chef America, Rachael Ray, and in Saudi Arabia, London and Cairo.

During my tenure at Alcott Marketing, I served as Creative Director for KinderCare Learning Centers, Harley-Davidson Financial Services, and USBank to name a few. I also directed many of our agency's marketing endeavors.

In 2007, I co-founded award-winning Ivey McCoig Creative Partners, an agency specializing in branding and identity work. In our first year, four of our logos were nationally recognized and published by Logolounge. Our work consisted of brand identity, packaging, web and environmental design.

I have also enjoyed working on pro-bono assignments such as author Donald Miller’s The Mentoring Project and Sowing Seeds of Hope which served Alabama’s poorest communities and Nashville Children’s Theatre.
